The Best Footwear Designer

"Shoes are more than just an accessory; they are an extension of a woman."

Christian Louboutin

About three years ago (when I began to interested in the famous brands) I leafed my favourite newspaper and I sighted something beautiful... Christian Louboutin shoes! From this moment I fell in love with his shoes...

Christian Louboutin  (born January 7, 1964, France) is a footwear designer, who launched his line of high-end
women's shoes in France, 1991.

Christian Louboutin was born and brought up in Paris’s 12th arrondissement. In 1975 in the African and Oceanic art Museum he saw a drawing: a woman’s shoe with a sharp heel, slashed-out with a red line. From 1980 to 1986 Louboutin got his first job at the Folies Bergeres, the famous French Music Hall. Later he worked at world-famed fashion houses, for example Chanel, Yves Saint Laurent, Maud Frizon. He turned to garden design in 1989. The year 1992 was maybe one of the most important period in his life: he created the Christian Louboutin brand and opened his first boutique in Paris. His success reached New York, so Louboutin opened his first boutique in this city, too. For Jean-Paul Gaultier, ChloĆ©, Azzaro, Diane Von Furstenberg, Victor & Rolf, Givenchy and Lanvin, Louboutin started to contribute for couture and ready-to-wear seasons in 1995. In 1996 in appreciation of his activity, he received a FFANY Award from the International Fashion Group. In 2002, at Yves Saint Laurent’s farewell haute-couture show, Louboutin created a shoe for the finale. Referred to as « Christian Louboutin for Yves Saint Laurent Haute Couture 1962-2002», it marked the only time that Saint Laurent associated his name with another designer. 2007 – Louboutin collaborated with director David Lynch on the exhibition « Fetish », which showed sexy one-off objects: fetishist shoes, photographed by Lynch. In 2008,  New York’s Fashion Institue of Technology payed a tribute to Louboutin, mounting an important retrospective of his work. Later that year, Louboutin was the Star Honoree of the Fashion Group International as well as received a second FFANY Award.

Today, he is one of the most popular shoe designer - mainly in the elites of Hollywood. Hundreds of celebrities wear his shoes, like Christina Aguilera, Angelina Jolie, Victoria Beckham, Beyonce, Jessica Biel, Jessica Alba, Hayden Panettiere, Jennifer Lopez, Lindsay Lohan, Nicole Richie, Britney Spears, Anne Hathaway Sarah Michelle Gellar and so on. This brand can be found in twelve eponymous boutiques, 46 countries and in world famous department stores like Sak’s, Nieman-Marcus, Barney’s, Harvey Nichol’s, Bergdorf-Goodman, Joyce, Jeffrey’s… Louboutin also continues to create shoes for young and talented designers such as Rodarte and Roland Mouret.

"Nothing is sexier than the red sole of a Christian Louboutin heel"
Lindsay Lohan

"Your Gait Changes when you wear Christian Louboutin shoes. No clomping around!"

If I could not convince  you of Christian Louboutin's talent, here are some crazy construction...

Lady Gaga - The New Fashion Icon??

Lady Gaga bursts into the public consciousness at the end of the year 2008. She is interesting. Mysterious. Scandalous. Fashionable. Special.  A girl, who has beautiful voice and really good sense of fashion. I am not a Lady Gaga fan, but I cannot help writing her.
Wheter Lady Gaga created a new fashion or she is like Madonna - just in a newer edition? I do not know, but I do not care for it. The main point is that Lady Gaga is professional in dressing...

...begin with her hair, which belongs to her style... I love it ♥

Continue with one of her trade-mark: the dresses with origamis...

We can often see her in wide (I just call look-like-a-boat) dresses...

In spite of the fact that she often behaves/dresses shockingly, sometimes she looks like just a well-dressed woman about nobody would think that how wild she is...

...however by reason of  the next dresses everybody knows how wild this girl is

To err is human... Oh but this size!

I know that the wide shoulders is coming back to the fashion, but that is too much!

And what about her shoes? After the above ones you may guess...

Finally something interesting - or rather funny...

Well, I think she is a new fashion icon, but she often go too far and often verge on the tastelessness...
